Chad Johnson is insane, but I love it

I'm going to make time to watch the Bengals game on Saturday. This is from today's Cincinnati Post:
Chad Johnson isn't as worried about the NFL this week as he is PETA.
The Bengals wide receiver said Tuesday that should he get into the end zone Saturday against the Buffalo Bills he would incorporate a deer into his celebration act. A deer, he said, that he accidentally hit with his car.
"He's bandaged up, but he's going to come out," said Johnson, laughing as he told his tale. "Don't laugh. Y'all think I'm playing. Trust me, I've got Rudolph. His nose is red.
"On the highway I hit a deer. I kept him. He's at home in the garage. I'm going to use him for the celebration this weekend. He's a prop. They might suspend me for the last game, but I think this one is worth it. ... He's limping, but he's alive. He's all right. This is going to be the greatest celebration of all time, man. I actually use an animal."
Last season against Buffalo, Johnson didn't sniff the end zone in a 33-17 win by the Bills at Paul Brown Stadium. Johnson had just two catches for 10 yards against cornerback Nate Clements and the Buffalo secondary.
"I was shut down last year," said Johnson. "Which is very horrible for someone who's supposed to be uncoverable. So I'm looking forward to the challenge. It's going to be a good one. It's going to be a show."
Johnson caught his eighth touchdown pass of the season in last Sunday's 41-17 win at Detroit that clinched the AFC North division title for the Bengals. After Johnson caught the 1-yard pass from quarterback Carson Palmer, he celebrated by not celebrating. Fans expecting to see something along the lines of the Riverdance rendition he performed in Chicago in September were disappointed enough to actually boo him.
"This Saturday, I'll be back to my old self," said Johnson. "It's going to be fun. I might get in trouble, so I might as well let that out now. I might get in trouble for what I'm going to do, but it's worth it."
It's weird, but I actually like this guy. I hated when T.O. did the Sharpie and Joe Horn pulled out the cell phone, but for some reason Johnson's celebrations don't bother me. I can't wait to see how this deer thing plays out.

AJ signs

Pierzynski signed a 3 year deal today. $4 mil in '06, $5.5 mil in '07 and '08.
Should give them plenty of time to develop another catcher in the minors. That's one of their only weak spots in the organization.
Is this one of the greatest times in Chicago sports history or what?
The Bears are on the rise and have their defense locked into contracts for years to come. The Bulls are coming off a playoff run and have a solid young core of players. The Sox are reloading for another postseason, while the Cubs are adding more bleachers. The Fire will be opening a new soccer-only stadium next spring, and the Blackhawks...well, you have to figure Bill Wirtz is going to croak sometime soon.
Ron Mexicold

For once I have to agree with something Joe Theismann said. The Bears are a much more dangerous team now with Grossman at QB. Good move by Lovie in a tight game where any kind of spark was needed to swing the momentum in your favor. That was the perfect time to get Rex some snaps...at home, with a lead. Can't wait until Green Bay or Minnesota to see if he still has it.
Now does this mean Orton shaves the beard?
If McGuigan ever gets on here I'll be curious to know how chilly he and his wife were at the game last night.

Welcome

Instead of sending chain e-mails back and forth all day about all the moves Kenny has been making this offseason, I figured it'd be easier to start a little forum where we can rant and rave about the Sox, Bears, Bulls, the size of Carl's head, whatever.
Spread the word and let's get this ball rolling.
